VOICE PERFORMANCE & CHOREOGRAPHIC THEATRE This international workshop explores the synthesis of vocal expression, singing, acting and dance/movement; Voice performance is based on two complementary principles: technical finesse and expressive risk. It seeks to highlight personal genius - musicality and character - as well as the pertinence (or impertinence) of what one has to say, whether through speech, gesture, song, image, scream, silence, or their synthesis in choreographic theater. What counts above all is artistic open-mindedness. It is much more a question of personality, listening skills and expressive risk-taking than of technical know-how (musical, actoral and/or dance skills - all of which are very welcome). It takes the exploration and training of VOCAL EXPRESSION *after Roy Hart* into performance and concerting modes, including music.

Structure and Spirit of the Workshop Why the 2 sections? Two-week Intensive : 'advanced' work. Reminder: what counts above all is open-mindedness, personality, quality of listening and expressive risk-taking. We recommend that you bring a WORKING TEXT and a SONG. Post-course week: for those who took part in the previous weeks (or who are in long-term training with Panthéâtre): performance laboratories (work in progress) directed by Enrique, and song preparation (directed by Linda.) The last two sessions with invited spectator friends). Included in the course are one or two Master Classes in Pedagogy (after Roy Hart), and lectures by Enrique. Dates and themes to be confirmed.

REGISTRATION / PAYMENT

Registration on audition and/or C.V. and letter of motivation (and a video extract of some form of performance or singing) - IF you are new to PANTHEATRE.

Reduced fees are possible for participans in long-term training with PANTHEATRE (classes and laboratories). Contact us

To apply, if you cannot attend a weekend workshop or an open doors/audition session in Paris, please send us a brief CV with a letter of motivation - and, if you have one, a video extract of your own work. If accepted, registrations will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of 200€ Euros. The remainder can be paid on the first day of the workshop.
